I am a fully qualified painter and decorator with over 40 years experience in a variety of aspects in the decorating profession.

 

Having previously been a director of my own specialist decorating company – Faux Deco Ltd – and working as a college lecturer teaching decorating and interior design in numerous colleges in Kent, I have amassed the skills, expertise and business acumen to offer a highly professional service.

 

I have vast knowledge of the trade from selecting and applying heritage and period finishes and designing and producing specialist paint effects – such as marbling, wood-graining, distressing etc.

I am currently the President of The London Association of Master Decorators, which was formed in 1908 to celebrate and promote high quality decorating work and craftsmen. I am also a member of The Painting and Decorating Association and examples of my work have been featured in several editions of The Decorator magazine.

 

I am also very adept in hanging a wide range of wallcoverings in both domestic and contract widths.

 

I can also offer a bespoke art work on canvas, from a pastiche of an existing painting,  to a modern impressionistic portrait or figurative piece.

 

My passion for the decorative painting trade hasn’t dwindled and I still get a great amount of pleasure and satisfaction from designing and creating a painted finish for a wall mural, canvas or item of furniture even after all these years.

Your existing kitchen units can be given a new lease of life by having them sprayed or hand-painted . I can also transform tired and dated looking furniture using hard wearing paints and varnishes

 

For those who are more adventurous , I can design and create a mural to provide that wow factor in any room.
